Nurturing the Talent of the Future 

Stage Studio Theatre school is based at the Brighton Youth Centre in Kemp town on Saturdays mornings.

Stage Studio was founded by theatre actress Shelley Williams.

Shelley who is best known for her performances in the West End hits Wah! Wah! Girls and Daddy Cool is also a regular at the critically acclaimed Theatre Royal Stratford East. Shelley has sung with the likes of West Life, M People and Simply Red and most recently performed alongside actor Ed Stoppard and Comedian David Schneider at The House of Lords, in a dramatisation of "House Music" The diaries of Oona King, playing the baroness herself.

"The ethos behind Stage Studio is to make professional performing arts training accessible to young people that ordinarily would miss out on the opportunity to train because they don't have the means to afford expensive fees."

Shelley has been working with young people for over 12 years and is renowned for her ability to nurture young talent and has staged productions at RADA and throughout the UK.

Shelley: " Our standards at Stage Studio are high. Having worked in the industry for many years I am lucky to able to source incredible teachers. We also get alot of industry interest and have already had students perform in Film, Commercials and the West End!
My hope is to find and encourage Brighton talent to meet the growing demand.
You don't have to dream of stardom to join, there are many other benefits to performing arts training. It builds confidence and encourages skills that can be used and enjoyed for life, but most importantly it's a lot of fun. I loved performing when I was a child but wasn't able to afford formal training. I had to learn my craft the hard way. I wished there was something like Stage Studio when I was growing up. Well, there is now!"

There is NO AUDITION anyone can join.

Stage Studio Theatre School is for 6 - 16 year olds.
Students combine Street Dance, Drama and Singing

Saturdays 10.15 - 1.00

Fee: £15 per session - pay as you go!

Younger members can enjoy MINIMOVES
a specially designed street dance class for 3 - 6 year olds

Saturdays 10.15 - 11.00
