Together The People 2015 - Review

What an amazing two day festival in Preston Park at the weekend!

Together The People launched their first family friendly festival this year and it was a resounding success. There were plenty of stalls selling a wide range of delicious food, including vegan, Mexican, authentic pizzas, homemade cakes and more! There were also charity stalls promoting what they do, including a very worthwhile charity called Gig Buddies which helps disabled people enjoy live music by having volunteers staying out late with them at gigs.

A funfair suitable for all ages ensured younger and older kids were able to enjoy the rides, even the daredevils! Four stages offered music and entertainment and there was a soapbox for speakers, one of whom was Andy Winter from The Brighton Housing Trust, the charity in whose benefit the festival was in.

On Saturday the Horrible Histories live performance attracted a crowd so huge that people spilled out of the tent! The kids thoroughly enjoyed it, (and the adults too!). The Cat in the Hat live stage show was the main attraction for kids on Sunday, ensuring they had a fantastic time at the festival.

Fortunately the weather held out with the sun shining on both days.  I'm sure next year's Together The People will be even better!
