Transport Rides

trainride.jpgMost children are thrilled to travel around on different modes of transport.  Fortunately, there are opportunities for kids and their families to enjoy Brighton, its coastline and the Sussex countryside by travelling in either a steam train, an electric train, an open top bus, a pleasure boat, a Brighton tuktuk and even a plane.

Bluebell Railway

SHEFFIELD PARK

This is a very popular attraction for families living in and visiting Sussex.  Children love riding in a real steam train through the countryside.  Look out for the family fun weekends and special activities for kids in the summer holidays, plus the Santa Specials at Christmas.

Sheffield Park Station, TN22 3QL. Situated on the A275 between East Grinstead and Lewes. Signposted from the A22 and A23.

Why not take a bus up to Devil's Dyke?  During the summer (until 31 August) the buses are usually open top so you can really admire the views as the bus works its way through Brighton and up onto the downs.  Check out special deals which enable children to travel free.

The no. 77 bus can be boarded at Brighton Pier as well as other places throughout the city.  See the link below for further details.
